A short post here but it means a lot to me. In September I turned 60. This means that I am officially retired from my 22 year career in the US Army. I received my retirement orders and a very nice retirement certificate that Barb had framed for me. Another by-product of retirement is I should start receiving my retirement paycheck!! Like all good government processes, they have had over 10 years to prepare for this but they didn't start the processing until I turned 60, so I've been told that it will be 60-90 days before I receive my first check. Go figure !?!? Welcome to retirement!
