We were saddened early this year. On January 3rd, Barb's father passed away. Ed celebrated his 91st birthday on Christmas of 2011. He had been a very healthy sort of guy through the years and lived happily on his plot of land just north of Manhattan, KS. After a bout with cancer of the jaw about 10 years ago, age began to catch up with him. Frail, but still active, he began to tire of this life and was ready to make his next journey. He passed peacefully surrounded by all of his children. The funeral was held in Manhattan and Ed was interred in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery (which is a really nice Federal cemetery if you every have the chance to visit). He is gone but never will be forgotten!
