Rugged Scenery

Everywhere you go along the Oregon coast (Highway 101) you see magnificent rocky shores, waves crashing onto the beach, and forests that seem to end only upon reaching the ocean. We don't even have to drive anywhere to see this. We can just walk to the far end of the RV park! But when we do drive, we can't help but stop frequently to absorb the views.

Misty loves to roam around on long walks and say "Hi!" to everyone in the park. She thinks that they have all come here just to see her. In my next life, I want to come back and live her life!

Just thought I'd share some more photos of the scenery around us!

This is the view from the Izzy's restaurant at the north end of Newport. Not a bad view for a meal.

And speaking of a view for a meal... in Depoe Bay, there is a newly opened restaurant called Sea Treats. Here your custom made table includes a glass top over an enclosed aquarium in which is a live crab. You can watch him while you eat. I suppose, you could order him up for dinner if you wanted to but it is more fun to watch.

Who knew but there is a winery around every corner. Local wines and micro breweries are everywhere and it would take a lifetime to sample them all.
